Planning: Opening Scene narration (Miss B)

Opening Scene Narration

Introduction
In a group of four we were able to discuss different ideas that each member of the group came up with for the thrill production that we will be creating. This section allowed the group to create a well structured thriller opening which allows the audience to understand what is going on and feel the emotions of the characters.

The first scenes going to be a group of friends being loud and joking about on the empty streets of Enfield Town. In our group we have decided to chose a Halloween theme. This allowed us to come up with different ideas. At the start of the our thriller a group of friends which includes three boys and two girls dressed in different Halloween costumes walking in town going to a Halloween party. The group of friends are either being followed by someone or they are being tricked. When talking to each other they remember that they have done something bad last Halloween in the same place and this may be the revenge time. The friends joke about thinking that so much time has passed on and it was pointless thinking about such thing. As they carry on in the empty streets in town at midnight they start to hear something weird. They all stand still and stare at each other as if they are questioning each other of what the noise is but they don't dare to make a sound. Our thriller movie ends with a cliff hanger so the audiences are left with so many questions in they're head. This allows the audience to feel to watch more to find out what would happen next.

  1. A good brief description of your opening scene. There is some detail which is described well. It is clear that you have a good idea of your narrative and what you hope will happen.

    To improve;
    -can you mention specific moments where micro-elements might be used?
    -can you be more specific on how you want your audience to feel?
