Mise-en-scene
Setting
The thriller production that I will be filming is going to be filmed in two main locations which include the following; house which is located in Ponders End and Oasis academy Hadley drama room. We will have scene in the hut of the flat, when walking up the stairs and in the living room of the house. The darkness of the drama will create mystery of what's going on. But the darkness and the emptiness will represent the unconscious mind.
The response I hope to create from my use of settings are that the audience could establish that its a setting that would be conventional to a thriller, and they would react to in the relevant way depending on the setting for example they would feel the sense of being worried when the scene was in a hut and Amani notices the blood on the floor.
Iconography
We plan to use a various range of iconography that would be relevant and conventional to a thriller. We would have reference to blood throughout the scenes.
Also Amana's sisters body would be covered in blood that she has been killed brutally.

The response I hope to create from the use of iconography would be that the audience would be aware of the strength of the antagonist and what he is capable of doing anything to the victim in order for the audience to feel sad for the victims.
Costume, hair and make-up
Amani who walks into the flat and see his little sisters dead body. In this scene we will make sure that Amani's make up makes him look pale as he is in shock and scared of what's going on. He will be wearing lighter day to day costume and when compared to the antagonist who will be wearing all black the audience is able to identify the victim and the antagonist easily. The sister will be dressed in white to show her innocence.

Facial expression/body language:
When the victim realise what's going on they start to have a worried and anxious facial expression as different camera sizes are used to show the emotion of the Amani when he stares at his sisters body and in the last scene him sitting down in the corner of the room at home.

Body language of antagonist would be calm and give the sense that he would be in control over the victim. On the other hand, the body language of the victim would be shown as weak and defensive against the antagonist.
The response I hope to create from the facial expression and body language would be that through the use of facial expression and body language the audience should be able to tell that the victims are in trouble and that the antagonist is in control.

Lighting:
As the location of the scene is a house and the drama room natural light and some technique light will be used to make the scene more clear to the audience.
Some problems with this post I'm afraid:
ReplyDelete- No intro or conclusion saying what MES is and then what you've got out of your planing
- Facial Expression & Lighting need more detail - havent actually said HOW you will create these effects for your audience...
